If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We all mess up from time to time. Sometimes we say the wrong thing, lose our temper, or hide a mistake out of shame. Instead of dealing with it, our natural instinct is usually to sweep it under the rug or carry the heavy guilt around with us all day.
But God offers us a much better way to handle our slip-ups. He simply asks us to be honest with Him. When we own up to our mistakes without making excuses, we open the door for His grace to step in and wash away the shame.
Today, take a moment to pause and do a quick heart check. If there is something weighing on your conscience, tell God exactly what happened. You do not need fancy words; just speak to Him like a trusted friend and let Him make your heart completely clean.
Dear Lord, thank You for being a safe place for me to be honest about my mistakes. Please forgive me for the times I fall short, and wash away my heavy guilt. Help me to walk lightly today, knowing I am completely clean and deeply loved. Amen.
