Pride often sneaks up on us in the smallest ways. It is the quiet voice that tells us we have to figure everything out on our own or prove our worth to the people around us. But living with that kind of pressure is exhausting and ultimately keeps us at arm's length from God.
Humility isn't about beating yourself up or pretending you don't have talents. It is simply admitting that you don't have it all together and that you deeply need God's help. When you drop the act and ask for His guidance, you make room for His strength to step in.
Today, try paying attention to moments when you feel defensive or overwhelmed. Instead of doubling down and trying to push through on your own, pause and admit your need for help. That simple act of surrender opens the door for a fresh wave of God's favor to flow into your situation.
Dear Lord, thank You for loving me enough to offer endless grace. Please help me to lower my guard today and rely on Your strength instead of my own. Amen.
