It is so easy to imagine God as a disappointed boss, standing over us with a clipboard to tally up our failures. When we mess up, our first instinct is often to hide from Him out of shame. But Jesus completely shatters that picture of who God is.

For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
Instead of arriving as a harsh critic, Jesus came as a rescue worker. When you are entangled in bad habits, guilt, or anxiety, He is reaching out a hand to pull you out. You can stop running from God today and let Him love you right where you are.
Knowing this also changes how we treat the people around us. If the Creator of the universe doesn't lead with judgment, neither should we. Today, try offering a little extra grace to a frustrating coworker, a stressed family member, or even yourself.
You don't have to clean yourself up before you come to Him. His entire mission was to save, heal, and restore what is broken in our lives. Rest in that incredibly good news today, and let His grace be the loudest voice in your head.
Dear Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to rescue me instead of condemning me. Help me to fully accept Your grace today and to share that same unearned love with the people I encounter. Amen.
