When life throws sudden challenges at us—a scary medical report, a sudden job loss, or a broken relationship—it’s easy to panic. We naturally want to figure out a backup plan or rely on our own strength to fix the mess. But Jesus invites us into a completely different response: shifting our focus away from the problem and placing it securely on our Father.

Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.”
True trust doesn't mean pretending everything is fine or ignoring reality. It means acknowledging the mountain in front of you while choosing to believe that God is ultimately in control. It’s a daily, sometimes hour-by-hour decision to hand over the heavy burdens you were never meant to carry. When anxiety creeps in, faith is the gentle pivot back to reminding yourself of His constant love.
Today, try practicing this practically whenever you start to feel overwhelmed. Take a deep breath and simply name one thing you know is true about God's character, like His goodness or His peace. Let that simple truth anchor your heart, allowing you to walk through your day with quiet confidence instead of crushing fear.
Dear Lord, thank You that You are completely trustworthy, even when my circumstances feel out of control. Help me to take my eyes off my worries today and put my full trust in Your goodness and power. Amen.
